Two men arrested in Elgar Avenue

This morning I went to an address in Elgar Avenue in company with PC Matt Waite, PC Todd Gummery and PC Paul Slaymaker in the hope of locating and arresting a shoplifter. We located said shoplifter who was arrested and dealt with by PC Waite. As a result, Paul Standen aged 56 of Elgar Avenue in Malvern has been charged with two shoplifting offences and  will appear before Worcester Magistrates Court on 26th September 2025.

One of the offences was from Lidl in Malvern Link and the other was from Co-op on Upper Howsell Road in Malvern. He has been bailed with conditions not to go to either of those stores.

Whilst making the arrest, officers also located another man in the address who was wanted for a recall to prison. The man gave false details but was well known to officers. That man was also arrested and taken to custody, where he awaits secure transport to prison.
